BL 150 is a specially developed process to give a pleasant clear/silver chromate conversion coating on zinc electrodeposits. As per the ASTM B117 standard, the passive coating produced by BL 150 offers a corrosion resistance of over 72 hours in the salt spray test before white rust sets in. BL 150 is an ideal product for applications that require pleasing clear finish without any blue tint and is an eco-friendly alternative to other formulations based on hexavalent chrome. BL 150 contains no hexavalent chromium and hence a simple neutralisation step is enough to precipitate the chromium before letting the effluent into the drain.
