SEALER 615 is water soluble formulation. It is a mixture of organic and inorganic materials and is free of lead, mercury, chromium and other hazardous materials. SEALER 615 is thus RoHS and ELV compliant. Unlike some formulations that simply form a physical coating over the zinc plating, SEALER 615 reacts with the passivation film in order to enhance its corrosion resistance. Thus SEALER 615 can be considered to be a reactive sealer. SEALER 615 produces a colourless film over blue and iridescent passivated components that is between 0.1 to 0.5 μm thick and increases the corrosion resistance substantially.
